ORDERING & DELIVERY
Fence material ordering
& delivery guide.
Prepare a complete fencing material list and a practical receiving plan. This guide covers measurements, gates, supporting components, freight information and shipment checks for bulk fence orders.
Start with the takeoff
Record fence-run lengths, heights, corners, changes of direction and grade. Separate each style or material system. State whether the quantities are preliminary or a final bill of materials.
Account for access and connections
Measure clear gate openings and note swing direction or sliding clearance. Add line, corner, terminal and gate posts; rails; caps; brackets; ties; hinges; latches and other system-specific parts. Check whether equipment access requires a wider opening.
Describe the destination
Provide the delivery ZIP code and site type. Include road or gate restrictions, turning space, permitted receiving hours and a reachable site contact. Confirm that the delivery location can accommodate the proposed vehicle and unloading method.
Plan unloading before dispatch
Tell the quoting team what lifting or unloading equipment is available. Agree who supplies the equipment and labor, where materials will be placed and how the shipment will be checked. Container or special-handling arrangements need order-specific confirmation.
Review quantities, timing and terms
Order size and freight economics are assessed with the material package. Ask whether your quantity is a fit and whether combined ordering is appropriate. Confirm lead time, payment stages, cancellation conditions and delivery responsibilities in the written quote.
Check the shipment on arrival
Have the material list available when receiving the order. Record visible damage or discrepancies promptly, photograph the condition and contact the supplier using the claim process and deadlines stated in your order documents.
Delivery is reviewed by destination.
Provide the delivery ZIP code, product types and quantities when you request fencing material pricing. Include whether the destination is a commercial yard, residential property, farm or active construction site. The quotation will confirm the freight arrangements available for your order.
Separate your preferred delivery date from any fixed project deadline. Identify restricted receiving hours, access limits and the person responsible for unloading before dispatch.
